Listening to or reading stories about the inner dream world and the dreamers of those worlds, "initiates" us in various way, small of big, into having the power, awareness and ability to dream in and travel in those infinitely expanding worlds.

Just listening to or reading about the nature, cosmology and dynamics of dreaming actively in the dream world initiates us, that is gives us empowerment, an opening, and direction or guidance in dreaming in the greater world of dreaming.

One of the greatest forms of dream initiation is receiving the teachings of dreaming from the universal dream world, our inner being, dream guardians or guides, and spiritual masters. When initiated into the spiritual life by the transmission of spiritual power, light and grace in a dream – a most fortunate event – it is called "dream initiation."
