During my previous visits to Hawaii, I had powerful experiences and dreams of assistance and guidance connected to the land, ocean and overseeing powers of the island. I invite you to experience Dreaming Hawaii℠ and look forward to sharing with you a week-long, six night, eco-dream retreat at the Hawaii Island Retreat in North Kohala of The Big Island. 

Together we will mine the rich inner resources with which Hawaii dreaming will reward you. I will instruct and guide you through daily classes, talks and instructions how to incubate creative dreams and dreams of self-empowerment – inspired by the nature intelligence and rejuvenating energies of Hawaii Island.

In my book Shamana Dream: Dreaming For Self, Others and Creation, I recount my first dolphin dreams and meditative visions and a rescue from drowning off the Big Island coast, assisted by two dolphins. In the following days, the ecological energies of the Island assisted healing my damaged body. I now feel bound to the land and waters of Hawaii, and feel obliged to share the "dreaming"  that occurs in Hawaii.

On Hawaii your dream life can come alive. You can expand from tourism of the land to "inner tourism." Come with me and explore the inner landscape of dreams while reveling in the legendary beauty and bounty of the islands.

A Retreat Designed for Lovers of Nature, Dreams, the Arts, Life...

This week-long retreat is for adults, age eighteen and older, who are interested in enhancing their work, life and creative activities through a deeper connection and understanding of their dreams. It is ideal for artists, dream workers, individuals in helping professions, spiritual directors and those interested in ecology such as preservation of forests, the land, and the oceans through deeper connection and understanding of nature and its relationship to us.

When traveling through or visiting such places our dreams can be affected for we become submerged or encapsulated in this consciousness, this feeling of lightness and energy. We can experience inner communications or subtle contacts with life forces around us. These places become power places for dreaming, for meditating, and for creative activities, such as writing or art – as well as for healing.

Retreat Description
Paul Overman's Dreaming Hawaii Retreat is a week-long, six-night, Eco-retreat vacation for adults, age eighteen and older, who are interested in enhancing their life through a deeper connection to their dreams, creativity and nature. Paul facilitates two morning seminars and two afternoon seminars each full day of eco-vacation retreat week.

Participants will experience and be guided by Paul's Shamana Dream Mentoring℠, based on his book Shamana Dream. You will explore and experience, through daily classes/seminars, guided-waking dreams to enhance your night dreams. You can delve intoEco the realms of nature, spirit and inspiration, with a deeper and more expanded inner life guiding and empowering your outer life. 

Through Shaman Dream Mentoring you will explore four great dream-soul potentials: empowerment; loving-connection; creativity; and inner and outer harmony — peace in mind, body and life.

You will experience and learn 

• The rejuvenation of sleeping and dreaming on ancient sacred land.
  
• The importance of physical posture or “shamana repose” for entering sleep and dreams for better dream recall, deep sleep, and rejuvenation — how to “sleep like a baby.”

• The principles and techniques of having deeper sleep-dream states for more-expanded dreams, lucid dreams, mutual dreams and higher creative dreams.

• How to dream for receiving and giving: energy; love; knowledge, and harmony.
  
• How your dreams can inspire your life, giving deeper insight, meaning, empowerment and purpose. 
  

The retreat’s themed seminars are based on Dr. Paul Overman's work with individuals and groups over many years. Through his Shamana Dream Mentoring for both night dreams and “waking-dreams” you can learn to “enliven” your dream life and your days for higher creative inspiration to reach life's goals and potential.

Retreat Schedule
Day One – Dinner & Dream Listening Talk by Dr. Overman
Day Two – Shamana™ Dream Guidance: morning & afternoon two hour seminars on dream incubation and receiving dream guidance for personal and social empowerment.
Day Three – Shamana Dream Yoga: morning & afternoon sessions of dream sharing learning the physical-sleep posture called "shamana repose" — “sleep like a baby” and dream like an eagle.
Day Four – Shamana Dream Ecology: morning & afternoon seminars: dream sharing and Shamana meditations-guided imagery for deeper connection with others and all of life.
Day Five – Samadhi of the Dream: morning & afternoon seminars: dream sharing; dreaming for creativity, inspiration and problem solving.
Day Six – Sign & Symbol: morning & afternoon seminars: dream sharing; Shamana dreaming for your future self and future potential. 
Day Seven – Breakfast, Final Sharing & Talk, Brunch and Aloha send-off, and check-out.

Paul Overman, PhD is a dream-yoga and meditation specialist, frequently presenting at international dream conferences. One of his specialties is creativity and the role of dreams in the creative process.  He has more than 30 years experience exploring and mapping extraordinary dream states and developing creativity and mind-body-spirit programs. As an expert on guided imagery and meditation processes, Paul has authored a number of audio programs including the CD-program, guided meditations series Ten Minutes to Relax: Peaceful Retreat. He presents seminars, workshops, talks, retreats and private consultations for professionals and laypeople alike.

Paul's "Dreaming in Hawaii" Dream Listening Retreat will immerse participants in the principles and techniques of Shamana Dream Mentoring™ guided meditations, enhanced dreaming for receiving and giving: empowerment; loving-connection; creativity; and inner and outer harmony – peace in mind, body and inner life.

 His guided meditations—taught in groups, coached individually, and recorded in his audio programs – are based on powerful archetypal imagery, breathing techniques, universal affirmations, and modern and ancient mind-body expansion techniques called dharanas. His dream work and basic exercises on transforming dreaming to make the dream life alive with empowerment, grace and connection to all of life can be found in his book Shamana Dream.
