"Great dream yogis have and may practice the powers of dream shamanism; and great dream shamans are by nature of consciousness dream yogis. As dream yogis and dream shamans attain the higher states of consciousness in meditating, in dreaming, and in creating new futures for society and mother earth, they collaborate with the higher beings of those worlds – devas or angels and sages or guardians – creating an alchemy of consciousness and force to transform the inner and outer worlds – a harmony of heaven and earth".

Dream Alchemy

To align oneself with heaven and earth, and their overseers of angelic devas, spiritual ancestors and guardians of the elements and earth's creatures, there is an alchemical process, steps to take – like keys to doorways to  the kingdom of heaven, or stepping stones on a path to an exquisite garden.

I have outlined them below:

Shamana Dream Work is for:
  • every-day serious dream workers.
  • those having extraordinary dreams
  • parents guiding their children in their children's extraordinary dreams
  • creative individuals, including the artist, performer, or scientist
  • healers, therapists or counselors
  • min-body practitioners of various disciplines
  • the ecologist seeking deeper connection to nature and the environment through dreams
  • students and researchers of cross-cultural, indigenous dreaming traditions, such as North, Central and South American Indian traditions or shaman dream-healing traditions.

In Shamana Dream Work, we call dreams of higher dream states that heal, harmonize and transform life, "shamana dreams" or states of shamana. We also call meditations, which seek to heal or transform life. shamana meditations or harmonizing meditations.

My childhood discoveries of some of those steps:

Shamana Dream Work educates participates in ten key areas of working with dreams, interpreting them, and developing life-long guidance from dreams:
  1. the role, nature and purpose of dreams
  2. how to remember, record and journal dreams
  3. understanding some of the most frequent types of dreams and dream themes categorized through observation and research studies – called in this work, dream analysis.
  4. emerging extraordinary dreams, including: lucid dreams, extra-sensory dreams, premonition and predictive dreams, telepathic dreams, ancestral dreams, dreams of recent deceased, dreams of pets and animals, transpersonal dreams, dreams of traveling in space, health related dreams, and other key dream types.
  5. understanding sign and symbols in dreams: natural dream forms as archetypes (elements; earth-water-sky formations; stones, crystals, etc); vegetation; and animals/insects); man made dream formations as archetypes (houses, bridges, vehicles, tunnels, tools, devices, etc.)
  6. how to listen to others dreams and share ones dreams for deeper understanding – the role of language in reporting dreams and how to develop "insight" for  dream interpretation.
  7. reoccurring dreams, common reasons for them, and how to response to them
  8. understand and deal with anxiety dreams and nightmares, based on some of most recent discoveries and research in diminishing or eliminating nightmare and distressing dreams
  9. simple keys to developing the skills for dream analysis and dream interpretation
  10. creative dreaming, healing dreams and guidance dreams.

The Ten-Way Principles, Doorways or Steps:

  • Reporting the Dream
  • Listening to the Dream through "soul sense"
  • Mirroring the Dream – "as above so below" – creating harmony of heaven and earth

Shamana Dreaming is seeing things hidden, but secretly affecting and guiding us.

Samana Dreaming is dreaming for and with others – to have peace and harmony.

Shamana Dreaming is exploring life and nature around you for self-discovery.

Shamana Dreaming is dreaming "under guidance of soul" – seeking and listening to your Higher Self through your Soul.

“Through the study of dreams, one achieves steadfastness and peace of mind."
